US Robotics Wireless Products Description

PC Card

The U.S. Robotics® Wireless Access PC Card lets you bring your laptop virtually anywhere in the house without worrying about lost connections. Share files, printers, even the same Internet connection* with others on your network-with no strings attached. With the freedom to connect from up to 300 feet (90 m) away, there's virtually no limit to the ways you can use the Internet. You can enjoy e-mail in bed, online recipes in the kitchen and celebrity hairdos in the bathroom--all without the hassle of wires.
Peer-to-peer networking lets you swap large files in seconds and enjoy amazing head-to-head gaming action with others on your network. It's compatible with the IEEE 802.11b standard so your DSL and Cable connections will run smoothly over your wireless network at speeds up to 11 Mbps.** And since you can connect up to three computers without an Access Point, it's less expensive to build than most other wireless networks.

Plug and Play technology makes installation of the PC Card easy. And it's wireless, so there are no cables to connect, no holes to drill and no wires to trip over, eliminating many of the headaches of installing your own network.

PCI Card

The U.S. Robotics® Wireless Access PCI Adapter gives you the flexibility to turn your desktop computer into a wireless workstation or fully take advantage of your laptop's mobility. With the PCI Adapter, you can share files, printers, even the same Internet connection* with others on your network-with no strings attached. The PCI Adapter includes a removable PC card so you can use it with either your desktop or laptop computer. Simply leave the card in the adapter to instal it into an available PCI slot in your desktop, or remove the card for use in your laptop's PCMCIA slot.
With the freedom to connect from up to 300 feet (90 m) away, there's virtually no limit to the ways you can use your wireless connection. You will no longer have to rearrange your furniture to accommodate your online connection, wait for your turn on the Internet, or waste time disconnecting and reconnecting peripherals to use with multiple machines.
